Mumbai CST-bound local train derails near Kalyan

The suburban rail service on the Central line was hit on Thursday afternoon after five coaches of a local train bound for Mumbai CST from Kasara derailed near Titwala. As per the railway authorities, one passenger has died in the accident while few others are injured.
Central Railway officials said the derailment occurred at 1450 hours between Titwala and Ambivli stations, about 61 km from CST.
Rail traffic on up and down lines between Kalyan and Titwala was suspended due to the accident.
